End of the line, Portman!

–Golan, under the alias of Barron the bus driver

Golan, also known as Dr. Golan or Barron, is the primary antagonist who appears in Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. He is later killed by Jacob Portman.

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children Edit

He is a shapeshifter under the alias of Barron the bus driver and an unnamed gardener. Both jobs were taken so as to trail the grandson of the famous wight-killer, Abraham Portman.

Golan had been searching for Miss Peregrine's loop for a long time, and sees his chance to find it with Jacob as his bait. He pretends to be a psychiatrist. Eventually, Jacob unknowingly leads him straight to Miss Peregrine's loop on the island of Cairnholm, Wales.

There, Golan kidnaps Miss Peregrine and Miss Avocet and threatens to kill them and the peculiar children if they don't do as he says. Then he leaves with the two ymbrynes as his hostages. This is thwarted as he is attacked by the peculiar children at a lighthouse in Cairnholm. He puts up a good fight but eventually gets injured and cornered. He taunts Jacob, when the latter attempts to shoot him with his own gun. Ultimately, he gets killed by Jacob and falls off the lighthouse, throwing Miss Peregrine and Miss Avocet down into the ocean below to get picked up by Caul and his men.
