The Council of Ymbrynes, also known as the Ymbryne Council, are the official leaders and protectors of the peculiars. Throughout the Peculiardom, the council seeks to govern the many peculiars, and protect them from threats such as hollowgasts and wights. It was predated by the Council of Important Peculiars.
The Council meets regularly in the London Carnival Tourist Loop at the The Peculiar Archives to convene for their annual nitpicking of the bylaws.
Countries such as Africa and Asia have their own Ymbryne Councils which operate in parallel to this one. The Council receives ambassadors and emissaries from the other councils.
